The Venetian Macao the world s largest casino-resort opened the doors to its mega-facilities on Tuesday It s a gaudy mix of baccarat shops and Venetian canals designed to transform the Chinese territory from gambling haven to Asia s top entertainment draw But some have warned that the 2 4-billion-dollar resort contributes to destabilizing Macau vastly boosting the gaming industry while leaving other sectors of society out in the cold
